Goodbye August, Till We Meet Again…

August is my favorite month. Not only because it’s my birthday month but also because I usually get to travel to several destinations making a hectic travel month. And who isn’t happy with that!

Now as I sit here and think that the month is over and I had three weeks off from my usual eating and workout routine, I can’t help but be a bit nervous. Resuming back to working out after some time off is never easy but it feels so good. I’m back to training with Jungle Fitness and continuing my triathlon training.  Swimming has been limited by the weather and I still have not made it on my bike yet, sigh.  I am happy to be back to my usual diet and eating habits but I’m not going to lie, the random cravings have been tough to fight.

I’m currently fighting a cold but I will not let that slow me down. I have goals, short-term goals and that motivates me to work hard.  I will be reporting back after my next triathlon on September 17th. That will be the last of the trilogy series and my last sprint triathlon of the season. After that I will be participating in the International distance triathlon of Miami Man in November.

So long August, as always you were a great month. Now it’s  time to get focused!!!

 

Easy Chicken Recipe

Not every day we have time to make elaborate recipes with tons of ingredients and time consuming directions. This easy recipe can be used for chicken or fish of your choice. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp of  mustard

2 tbsp of  lime juice

1 tsp of Thyme

1 tsp of Rosemary

1 tsp of Oregano

1 small onion

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and brush chicken on both sides covering with thinly sliced onion. Bake for 20 minutes.
